A few months ago, one of our previous brides got in touch. She explained that her sister-in-law was having a baby and her family wanted to treat her to a special baby shower. When I say special, I mean very Special! we were talking 100 guests and a Wonderful pink, white and silver winter wonderland theme.
Of course I was up for the challenge! Having worked on Henrietta and Brian's wedding and made their son his first birthday cake, I had got to know her and her lovely family and could not wait to work for them again.
We exchanged several ideas and very quickly put all of the pieces of the puzzle together. It really helped to have worked for Henrietta before as it meant that I had her full trust on this project.
In addition to a Pinterest worthy cake table, I was asked to design a dreamy seating area for mummy-to-be, a winter themed dessert table, centrepieces for the guest tables and decorations to complete the winter wonderland feel.
For the centrepieces, I worked with pink hydrangeas, flamingo and sweet avalanche roses and white lisianthus flowers. All displayed in ice white vases. I also added a bunch of white glittered branches to the flowers for a touch of winter. The centrepieces were surrounded by silver and pink mercury candle holders sitting on a bed of artificial snow.
The dessert table was packed with a selection a various chocolates, mini gingerbread men, meringues, marshmallows and caramels. All displayed in our collection of stylish glass containers. At the end of this beautiful party, the guests were very happy to take home these delicious treats in the personalised snowflake sweet bags.
